Welcome to Wychbury Designs, Jewellery, accessories, wedding adornments and wearable pincushions, handmade in Yorkshire by designer-maker, Paula Perrins

All of my pieces are individually designed and handmade by me in my workshop - or anywhere in my home I feel like! My loft workroom is perfect in the summer (if I'm not in the garden!) but I love to work downstairs by the wood stove during our chilly UK winters and be with my family in the warm. As my children have grown and our home has shrunk I have almost completely abandoned the sewing machine and much prefer the quiet comfort of stitching by hand which I can do almost anywhere.

My work is inspired by my love of fabrics and sewing and my fascination with historical domesticity, the bygone age when ladies wore hats and gloves, when we threw much less away and when women's skills with a needle and thread sustained comfort and beauty in the home.I love to work with silk flowers, vintage buttons, lace trims and all forms of haberdashery to make my collections of wearable pincushions, floral accessories and jewellery with the nostalgic, romantic feel of days gone by.
